The Safety Regulations stipulate requirements for companies that necessary training must be provided by employees within the FSE (Regulations relating to safety when working in and operating electrical installations). The requirement applies to personnel working with both low- and high-voltage systems. The training should be repeated once a year, but more often if the conditions make this necessary. There should be no more than 12 months between each training. The person responsible for fulfilment of the requirements of the Regulations is the owner/operator of electrical installations and the owner of the business that carries out activities covered by the Regulations.
This course is intended for operation and maintenance personnel, with or without an electrical background. The purpose is to provide basic knowledge about the hazards associated with working in an electrical plant and preventing accidents. It is a requirement of the authorities that when non-electric professionals are entering an electrical system, they must be instructed to carry out the work they have been given permission to perform, such as changing fuses, reverting bimetallic relays, etc.
The course is adapted to the requirements of the Regulations and also includes training in first aid with special focus on dangers and lifesaving with injuries caused when working in electrical installations.
